Eye of the Storm directed by Lin Chun-yang will open the Golden Horse Fantastic Film Festival which will take place from April 7 – 16, 2023 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Right after thoracic surgeon Dr. Xia is called back to treat an emergency patient, an unknown virus outbreak forces the hospital to go into lockdown, trapping Xia, along with hundreds of healthcare providers, patients, and their families. To find out the origin of the virus and stop it from spreading, Xia partners with tabloid journalist Jin. Registered nurse An and intern Li are also trapped in the hospital and despite the grave danger, they prioritize the patients and make unthinkable choices. Will they survive this epidemic? (GHFFF 2023)

About the director:
LIN is a Taiwanese director and cinematographer born in 1980. He won the Grand Prize in Golden Horse Film Project Promotion in 2012 with his first feature film, The Soul of Bread, and another in 2020 with Eye of the Storm. His other famous works include The World Between Us and Gold Leaf, the former won him Best Director at Golden Bell Awards 2019.
