"Cheung Hing Kee" is a Chinese dessert shop owned by a married couple Sion and Mimi in Kowloon City in the 1980s. Their daughter Stephy has always dreamt to fly and she became a flight attendant. Younger brother Jeffery is just another carefree university student. A classic Chaozhou family.

Everything changed when Mimi got a stroke and was left unconscious, leading the family into a chaos. Unbending as Stephy, unbearable to see Simon taking all on his back, decides to quit her job and return to his assistance. Yet, Simon is a traditional man, he does not appreciate her help. With the absence of Mimi, they are clueless on how to communicate with each other.
